SPRING IN CHALABRE 2006

(March 2006)

Spring came in early this year, with the village suddenly "springing" back to life.

Like the groundhog, Roxy (the butcher's dog) springs into action at neighbor Mme. Bernard's prompting.

The Chalabreil which separates Downtown Chalabre (right) from West Chalabre (left) puts on its green mantle.

M. Bofils' newsshop, which sells the best books in Chalabre (ours), is ready for action.

The newly-redecorated village fountain gurgles back to life.

John & Hazel's
Fontaines
B&B is flowering up to receive new guests.

The very talented local artist & film set decorator Guy Sahuc (with his wife Agnes)...

...have been commissioned by the equally newly-redecorated Community Center decides to paint a historical fresco on its wall.

After much research, both technical and historical, the work has begun...

The final fresco, in all its glory.

A close-up on Guy & Agnes' fresco.

Meanwhile, our local phamacy
Terre Privilégiée has had a facelift, too, with a new tile & wood floor designed by local artisan Manu Montoro.

Meet pharmacist Dr. Franzone...

...And his assistant, Nicole.
