Sights

  • Alsace

We visited Alsace for XMas 1996 to meet Jean-Marc's cousins (on his maternal grandather's side). It was very cold. Unfortunately, Arlette (JM's mom) broke her ankle at Mont Saint-Odile and had to be hospitalized for a couple of days. We stayed at the Cercle Militaire (Officer's Club), thanks to JM's dad.
  • Brittany

We toured Western France in 1984, visiting the Charente, Brittany and Normandy. The most remarkable sights were the menhirs (megaliths) of Carnac, and Mont Saint-Michel, where we spent the night.

  • California

Pictures of Los Angeles, the places where we used to live. Also photos from Northern California where we spent some time in 1978...

  • Chalabre

Home, sweet home... in all seasons!
  • Ile de France

Paris, Fontainebleau, Gisors, and (I'm cheating a little since it is nearer to Lyon) the enchanting medieval city of Perouges.
  • Languedoc

Languedoc is a southern province of France now contained in the modern-day region of Occitania. Its capital city is Toulouse. Other major cities in the region include Carcassonne, Narbonne, Béziers, Sète and Montpellier, as well as Perpignan in Catalunia near the Spanish border. This is our region and its myriad lovely villages...

  • Lourdes

Certainly there is something at work at the magical city of Lourdes, and I fell under its spell...
  • Provence-Cote d'Azur-Corsica

JM grew up in these parts. We spent several months over the years touring the region around Toulon, and also went to Corsica in June 2018.
  • Our Old Homes

Our past residences in Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes and Reseda.
